On our family-friendly mountain Betelberg, the idea of hiking is transformed into a playful experience for all ages. Kids experience the life and habits of marmots and lynxes as they play at various playground stations placed at intervals along the path. If you get hungry along the way, we supply the grill materials and the breathtaking view for your cookout on the way down!

The fascinating Siebenbrunnen (Seven Springs), which usher forth from the rock as if by magic, are the source of the Simme River, the valley’s namesake. At Rezliberg, above Lenk on the base of the imposing limestone cliffs at the head of the valley, the water springs forth from the rocks in multiple streams. In the summer the Siebenbrunnen gush at a rate of up to 2,800 liters per second and dispatch their bubbly torrents over the extended, multiple-stage Simmenfall waterfalls. The entire wonder beckons for a hike along its path!

With its rare alpine wildflowers, mountain wildlife, a rustic and welcoming “Berghotel” and restaurant, and the high, imposing waterfall careening down from the Iffig River, the Iffig Nature Preserve is a destination well worthy of your attention! The Iffig waterfall measures a 100 meter height and counts among the most beautiful and impressive waterfalls of the entire Bernese Oberland.

From an inviting 722 meters above sea level up to 2190 meters in altitude, Erlenbach and the Stockhorn welcome you! With the aerial tram up the Stockhorn, a fabulous hiking area is at your disposal just above Erlenbach. From the panorama restaurant, a breathtaking view opens up to over 200 mountaintops. With an easy forty-minute effort, stroll over to the lakes – the Oberstockensee and the Hinterstockensee – and make some time to experience blissful peace and relaxation.
