Special Tip – Jaunpass

Most wintertime activities in the Boltigen region take place in the Jaunpass. It is primarily a family resort with a ski and snowboard school and presents many ways to get out in the snow. Get to know the area by going out snowshoeing or by taking a walk on the romantic, lighted pathways.

In the summertime, Boltigen is the starting point to head out into the fragile Alpine bog areas, which offer a uniquely rich mixture of wildflowers and plant life. Over the course of the four-month summer pasturage on nutrient-rich grassland, Boltigen’s cows deliver over 150,000 liters of delicious milk into diary production. Up here, cheese making is no secret! The cow herders, who are also expert dairymen, are proud of their product and are pleased to share their craft with local guests.
